  1. He does not have to give you a grace periond unless it was written in the lease. $15 per day late charge is legal and aveage.

  2. its his buisness, he can run it the way he wants.

  3. Yes as long as its in the lease and you signed it.

  4. The rent is due on the due date. There is no law requiring a grace period.

You know when the rent is due, make sure you have it paid on time to avoid the late charge.

    Pretty simple.

  5. Yes, there is no grace period.   Rent is due on its due date.   He can charge you for not paying him.

  6. Your rent is due on the first of the month.  If your landlord does not provide a grace period, then you have NONE.  There is no requirement for any sort of grace period.  Pay your rents when they are due, and you won't have a problem.

  7. Generally, your late payment fee is whatever your landlord and you agree to in your lease.  Two things, though:

    1. A few progressive states or municipalities limit a landlord to reasonable late fees.  If you're in one of those areas, $15 might be unreasonable.

    2. In most states, a landlord only gets late fees if it's in the lease.  If not in the lease, you didn't agree to it.

  8. A grace period is totally optional. If a landlord won't grant you one - and it's not in the lease - that's his prerogative. Also, if your lease says that you pay $15 a day for each day the payment is late, that's what you pay.

If you didn't like the conditions of the lease, you never should have signed it. As it is, you're stuck with whatever the terms are.
