Can a lawn care company make me pay for a service I never asked for?

They just came and sprayed my lawn. They claim they phoned before and got an "OK", and they claim they sent a confirmation letter first. I don't have any records of either of these things.

  1. seems like a scam. Even if they did send a letter you probably thought that it was junk mail and tossed it. I would not pay.

  2. If they don't have approval from you, in writing or verbal, they cannot charge you for it.

  3. Im pretty sure that you have to "sign up" for service with a company. so unless they have your signature they are sol

I bet they went to the wrong house

  4. ask them for a copy of signed contract if they dont have one tell them to go fly a kite they dont have a legal leg to stand on
