Can a lemon meringue pie be reheated in the microwave?

My little cousins are coming to my house on Friday but I want to make the pie tomorrow because i am bored but i am scared that if I microwave it it might pop and the eggs might scramble. I can't wait till friday to make it. HELP!

  1. Lemon meringue pie is supposed to be served cold .....

I think what you want is to have the meringue warm like it was just made, right?  You could make the pie tomorrow, cover with foil, refrigerate and on Friday take it out of the refrigerator and let it sit for about an hour and then make the meringue and brown it in the oven as the recipe directs.

  3. lemon pie is not going to reheat well there are thickeners in that pie and if you heat it up it is going to be a runny mess and you will not want to eat it. nor will you like the clean up!

    I myself have never had warm lemon meringue pie. and i am pushing 40. is this something that your family likes? Or are you just striving for the  freshest pie possible.
