Can a locksmith do this?

Question

I bought an 01 Civic Ex that had the driver side door replaced, therefore I cannot unlock the door with the same key. Can a locksmith make me a key that I can use to unlock just that door?

If so, about how much would it cost?

its cheaper to have the lock silinder replaced by the locksmith...call around and ask..

I had it done couple years back.  Cost me 79 bucks.

the locksmith can change the tumblers or file the lock so that the key matches both locks

Get a "new" lock set for both doors and that can also be by going to an auto wreckers and getting a matching set of front door locks with keys ! Simple actually and Good Luck to you ! *S*Hope that helps !

I agree with MICHAEL S - go to a junkyard and buy two from the same car they are easy to take out...and reinstall
