  1. loners are unaware of the loner status because they don't perceive themselves that way. they teach you about independence and detachment. not saying it's good or bad. but that's the notion.

  2. it's possible, yes. anybody who wants to change can change, for so long as he/she has enough willpower to change. for so long as you don't let society pressure you, and you just be yourself, have faith in God, and you can change. anybody can change, after all.

  3. It's difficult to say.  I think for the most part because a person's choice to be lonely may be unintentional due to circumstances relating to childhood trauma, pain, feelings of neglect, and just poor maternal or fraternal love.   Over the years they have learned to adapt to their ways and have "OWNED" it.  I think they can come out of their shell but so much just to deal with eg: special people in their lives and then that is their limit.  They will cope with family, friends, lovers with limitations because deep inside they don't want to be alone but never knew how to deal with their loneliness.  So they can join the rest of the world but I think they will always put their limitations in their social activity. A person living with a loner will have to be patient and understand them for a life time.  Those that do will be the ones the loner will accept in their lives.
