  6. Maybe...... I had a turkey that was a pet and took him to the vet due to not eating and he verified it a male (he had a beard and everything hehehe) but one night a raccoon broke into the chicken coop and killed alot and injured my turkeys neck, took him back to the vet (not for the wound, it healed was just a scratch)  because  he was sitting on my front porch (get ready for this ) laying on eggs 3 big ones!!!OMG so the vet checked him out (Oscar was his name) and the vet looked at me then at the turkey and asked me when I got another one (hello) when I showed him the black mark (birthmark I guess ) the vet had to leave then came back with someone else, then they started laughing and said I needed to change Oscar's name to Oscarlina !!!HAHAHAHA So maybe a duck can if it is stressed out like Oscar was or shall I say traumatized?

  7. Ducks can actually undergo a gender change. For example, a male would loose his drake feather and grow in female feathers instead of his male ones. Females would grow a drake feather and male coloring. Female chickens actually go all the way and crow too.

Its not extremely common, but it happens. If the male changes, he won't lay eggs or have female reproductive parts of course. Its not necessarily caused by too many males. It can happen for various reasons. You should never have more than 2 males per 10 or so females. They will fight constantly and fight to harm each other.

Iriquois: Did the vet vent s*x him? Alot of times people mistake the bump females have for a p***s, so it may have been female all along. If the vet was not super experienced at it, he could have easily been wrong.
