Usually they get their own words, like manwhore or player.  The Bible even separates whores from whoremongers (or are those pimps--I was never quite sure, and didn't want to ask in church).  

Symbolically, anyone who's mind is for sale is a w***e, and that can apply to a man.  But for anything s*x-related, w***e is usually for females, though people make exceptions all the time.

The designation for a male who sells his sexual gifts to women is the Italian word gigolo.  It really means a "kept man."  A man who is supported by woman, and becomes a "friend with benefits."  Rich old ladies need love too

There do exist male prostitutes, of course, who partner with male homosexuals for money and there have been such persons at least as far back as Classical Greece.  One of Alexander the Great's generals recieved his rank as a result of his relationship to Alex.  And they existed among the American Indians of certain tribes as well. American Indians recognized and some condoned this devience, and evidently sanctioned married unions where one male carried on the functions of a wife while his (or her) partner functioned as a man.
