Why? What is it exactly that a prostate does?

I've never heard of a guy not having a prostate. He could still have s*x but he couldn't ejaculate. And it wouldn't mean that he would be sterrile. The prostate makes the fluid that the sperm is in. It's that white stuff that comes out, he sperm are in that.

No because the prostate excretes the milky liquid that protects the s***n cells during ejaculation. And anyway- why would you have it removed in the first place, unless, your like, 70 or something?

read it up the prostate produces seminal fluid and the testes produce sperm so it should just make for thicker sperm

Some of you answers are WAY off. I can't believe guys are so uninformed about their anatomy.

The prostate produces the s***n only and your testes (your balls) produce the sperm.

Without a prostate, he could still have s*x but he wouldn't ejaculate and therefore he couldn't impregnate a woman because there would be no s***n to carry the sperm from your testes out of your p***s and into the v****a.

The prostate produce a secretion called seminal fluid which goes along with the s***n.It also help to supply nutrient to the sperm cells and the prostate muscles can help in expelling sperm during ejaculation.A man can still have s*x without prostate as it has not much to do with erection, however the sperm may be less mobile or low in quality and quantity.
