Can a manager stop employees listening to the radio?

even if she is not are manager just the store manager and the department we work in is run by a differant company

  2. Your answer is "yes". All management personnel within a store have authority to make that call. Many times, if it is a department manager who makes a call like that, only a store manager can reverse the decision and it is kind of an unwritten rule that the general manager will always back the lower manager up. Even though you work for a department run by a different company, that company is required to follow the rules laid down by the host store.

    Besides, what's more important? Listening to tunes or making money? For the rest of your life, jobs will always have a rule, policy or requirement that is gonna suck but following the rule won't kill us. It isn't the end of the world, just not as fun as you'd like it to be.

  3. im affraid that they can under the health and safety at work act but this gose both ways if you see them doing anything that will contravine health and safety law speak up
