  1. Not outdoors!  It's a plant that is cold zone hardy only up to about zone 10 (south Florida and Hawaii).  New York is like zone 5 or 6, so it gets way to cold.


  2. Mangos are tropical and will not survive outside in winter in New York.  You would need to place it in a heated greenhouse (conservatory) or board it with someone who has one.  Be careful though.  These trees can reach 50 feet height when mature.  For more bad news, it probably will not produce fruit unless you can supply the preferred pollinating insect.

  3. Only in a greenhouse.

    If you leave it outside all the dog pee will kill it.
