Can a minor date an adult with parental consent in florida?

because im 15 and my boyfriend is 20..... i lied to him about my age at first so it isnt his fault... i told him my real age & he still wants to be with me... but doesnt want to get locked up. so were on a "break". my parents say its fine.... but is it legal ?????

NO.  Why are you asking this question, if he is the adult he should be more worried than you. This is an unequal relationship. So instead of asking Yahoo Answers, ask yourself - Do you want to be pregnant ( most teenage mothers are impregnated by older men), Do you ike Drama (probably yes) Do you really want this guy to go to jail - because he will and yes it will be your fault.  You seem mature and responsible, use those qualities to call this off for now (or forever) and yes you will be sad but you will be wiser and know you did the right thing.  Guys do not think with their brains about these things or he would say the same thing.

Dating is not a problem, but anything sexual will constitute rape in this case and he will be in a h**l of a lot of trouble (including being in a molester list)

Parents consent means nothing in this case.

Limit your dating to your own house with your parents home, or just a trip to the mall.

no I'm pretty sure its illegal everywhere in the US, but only if ur third basing it. I'd check it out on somewhere more reliable than yahoo answers, sounds serious.

If you felt the need to lie about your age....you should not be in a relationship....hes stupid for wanting to date you still,especially since he coulda got in trouble for it...it doesnt matter if he knew your real age or not he wouldve got in trouble....Also...in most states if you get knocked up and are not 18 by the time you give birth....and you list him as the babies father...he will automatically go to jail,parents permission or not

No---statutes are very similar all over the states.  Legally speaking can a parent not give a minor child the consent to date an adult---it still is statuatory rape.  It's best to wait until you are 16.....

It's absolutely legal to date.

Never drink around him, and don't let him drink around you. Not because of what it may lead to but because he could get in trouble for corrupting a minor.

Don't kiss or do anything else that is sexual until you are of age in Florida. Parent consent means absolutely nothing in this situation.

I don't know what the person above is talking about, in Florida if he is under 24 he can have consensual 'relations' with a 16 year old. Older then 24 then 18.

just dont let anyone know your dating or lie to your parents about his age.  If you sleep with him dont let anyone know so he doesnt get in trouble.
