Can a mono car amplifier power two subwoofers with the same wattage?

for example...

one mono amplifier of 1000 watts give two subwoofers 1000 watts of its power or will it split it into 500 watts each or how can or will it work?

2 subwoofers 1000 peak watts/ rms 300watts

1 amplifier 1000 watts mono class D

  2. If your amp is 1000 watts powering 2 subs it will split the wattage in half giving each subs 500watts.  Or if you have one sub it will get the full 1000.

  3. i have a mono 900 watt rms amp powering two subwoofers.  it has two outputs even tho it is a mono amp, that parallels the two 4 ohm subs to 2 ohms.  it splits the power to 450 watts rms to each subwoofer.

  4. are the subs dual-voice coil?If not,you can series wire them.Positive from one sub to the negative of the other sub and then you should wire your open positive to your + on the amp and open negative to the - on the amp
