the mother is just jealous because the man has moved on with his life and now she is trying to put child support on him after all this time. Oh yeah the baby is not his but she is putting the baby off on him because she is still in good with his mother and family.

  1. When I had my daughter, my boyfriend had to sign a form stating he was the father since we were not yet married.

  2. Men have to sign the birth certificate or a form, you can't do that for them, that would be forgery

  3. he can request a paternity test, and when it is proven that the baby is not his, he will not have to pay.  he also does not have to pay now, unless he signed the birth certificate.

  4. the court wont order him to pay without a paternity test.

  5. i doubt she can because he would have to sign it, the best thing to do is get a paternity test done and find out.

  6. well he would want to go and order a paternity test, he will prolly have to pay for it though, at least where i live that is how it goes. if he proves that he is not the father, i think she has to end up paying, but if he is, then he just pays.

if she thinks he is the father, yeah she can put him on the birth certificate, but once itgoes to court, she will have to prove it, unfortunately it might be a long and annoying process..

  7. No I was at the hospial sun night and I had to answer a million questions. And one of them the nurse explained to us was when my baby is born me and my boyfriend will have to sign a paper stating that he is the babies father since we arent married yet. But if he decided not to sign  i could not sign his name.

  8. when i had my daughter her father and iw as not married he had to sign a form so his name would be on the birth cirtf. it stated that he was the father and that he would bare the responably. they didnt requir a blood test in my state west va. when we seperated there was no blood test cuz there was no contest he was the father but each state is different.

  9. yeah you can put anyone you want down as the father, i believe....BUT if their not married he can petition it, and the courts will do DNA testing.

  10. the person put down as the father has to sign the birth certificate as well or it wont be put on

  11. it depends on what state you live in, and how strict the hospital is where she will give birth.  i live in california.  TECHNICALLY the law is if the parents are not married the father must sign a document acknowledging he believes the child is his and accepting parental responsibility (of course if he doesn't think it's his he wouldn't want to sign this) in order for his name to go on the birth certificate.

if the parents, or alleged parents, are or were married at time of conception, it is automatically assumed he is the father, and MAY be held responsible, even if dna proves otherwise eventually, depending on the judge's ruling.

now in reality, i have given birth at 3 different hospitals and i could have put elvis presley down as the father and no one would have questioned it.  nurses and hospital staff usually have better things to do than play birth certificate police.  with my first baby, my husband and i both signed the certificate, but with my 2nd and 3rd, hubby was at home with the other kids and I just wrote his name in myself and signed it without him, and no one questioned it.

if she wants his name on the certificate it wouldn't be hard for her to do, even without his permission.  and unfortunately, if it is proven not his child, it can be a long tedious process to remove his name from the record at a later date.  hope that helps!  good luck!

  12. Sure can do that. Its not a normal practice to have a baby blood tested prior to adding a father to the birth certificate. Nor does the Mother need the fathers consent, However the name can be added but without that man's signature on the birth certificate, it holds little to no weight.
