Can a mouse trap break your finger?

I have to set some mouse traps and these things terrify me, always have. Ugh. I was just wondering if it was true they will actually break your finger?? :-/

Yes they probably could, be careful.

No they can't break your finger.  Will hurt if you get your finger caught in one but definately will not break a finger with one.
