Can a never ending blinking clock be stopped?

I have an alarm clock. Awhile ago a power outage like always would cause my clock to start blinking once the power came back, but in this case as soon as I tried to reset the time (which would normally stop the blinking) the blinking didn't stop. No matter what I do the clock continues to blink regardless. Will I be forced to buy a new clock? Or is there some way I can stop this blinking once and for all?

I think it's toast. I assume you've tried unplugging it for awhile to see if that resets something in the circuitry?
