  1. Depends on the city's rules. Don't think so, but who knows.


  2. Most likely, heck we have two people trying to get elected as President that hate America and want to destroy it, so I would think the Mayor issue is a non-issue.

  4. Well then , no. One has to be a voter in order to hold a public office. You can't be a voter unless you are a US citizen.

    Either born or naturalized.

  5. I think some cities have elected dead people to the office, so who knows.  Of course, a dead person would be an improvement over a lot of people that actually get elected to many offices.

  6. No.  To legally hold the office of Mayor, a person needs to be an American citizen.  They need not have been born in America, but they need to be a citizen.

  7. As far as I know, you must be a citizen of that state or country to hold public office. Why don't you look it up and let us know for sure....
