  1. no, not until you have citizenship of Italy,

    Through marriage:

After six months of legal residence in Italy, the spouse of an Italian citizen can acquire Italian citizenship through naturalisation or after three years of marriage (if overseas) provided lack of criminal record and lack of national security concern.

  2. Non-EU citizen cannot apply for an EU passport.

  3. If your husband is an Italian citizen yes you can apply for an Italian passport. But this whole possess takes in the Eu 5 years now.

But to work in the EU, because you are married, to an Italian..you can get a residential status..with your EU-Visa. With your Eu Visa

you get a working permit for first 2 years and than for 3 years, and than you can apply for an Italian passport if you want to become an Italian

    citizen.

  4. Only after you receive Italian citizenship through your marriage - the passport is a reflection of citizenship, not marriage.

  5. maybe

  6. No. You need to qualify for citizenship to be able to apply unless you're after a Titre de Voyage (or Certificate of Identity whatever the equivelent in Europe) which will not state a nationality but will require you to have permanent residence in an EU country to be able to.

I would suggest that you go with your husband and live in Italy for 6 months. After that you can apply for naturalization and you can get an Italian passport. However, if you've been married for three years overseas you may be able to aquire naturalization. Either way you need the naturalization certificate to be able to apply for a Italian passport.

  7. You can move to the EU with your spouse and get an EEA Family Permit visa. This will allow you to work in the EU in the same way as being an EU citizen.

  8. Being married to an Italian citizen makes you eligible to apply for Italian citizenship, at which point you can get an Italian EU passport. Contact the Italian embassy on what they need to process your application.
