Is there any way for a non pregnant woman to breastfeed w/o putting chemicals in her body? I plan on adopting two kids from CPS in our county, and 1 would be a baby. I'm thinking about breastfeeding, but since I'm not pregnant, obviously it would be hard to let down milk. Is there any way a non pregnant woman can let down milk naturally and without taking shots or putting chemcials in their body?

  1. Yes, it is called induced lactation and can be done by either medication or mechanical stimulation. The La Leche League strongly encourages breastfeeding adopted infants.  You can find a local La Leche League and they will gladly provide you infomation on ways to achieve induced lactation. Just Google "La Leche League" to find their website, then their website will guide you to a local chapter. Good luck!
