  1. yes they do eat those type of mice. i have a 60 gallon with 1/3 of it water with two palm trees a coconut hide spot and a basking spot of 100 degrees. she is 2 feet long and weighs about 1 1/2 pounds

  2. Well they can but I would recommend fuzzies. Also I would recommend you to feed him frozen/thawed fuzzies because live fuzzies could carry dieases and then it could give your snake it too(mouth rot is one) Here is a link to fuzzies and what they look like. You can also get them in a local pet store.

I currently own 14 snakes and 6 of them are ball pythons. My ball pythons(full grown adults) are in a 40-60 gallon tanks. Each with their own tanks. And one of my baby is in a 10 gallon for now. The biggest tank you could need is really 40 gallon. All I have in the tanks for each of them is a water bowl, a half log, a rock(for them to shed), and heat lamps.

I wouldn't recommend having alot of accessories in the tank because it could stress them out or if you have ALOT if accessories the ball python might not like it and refuse to eat. It's not a must to have them. And remember to have a water bowl big enough to fit them in it just in case they want to soak in it.

If you need anything else, you could also take a look at this website. It would help alot too. And it is more in details then what I wrote. =]

  4. no they still need pinkies, the big rats are a no no for a one month snake

  5. feed it a mouse that is about as thick as the thickest part of the snake. so depending on your ball python it maybe able to eat it.  you can make the cage look how ever you want as long as the cage has a basking spot of 88-90F and a cool spot of around 80F and a few hiding spots the rest is up to you.
