  1. A pap smear tests for cervical cancer.

You need a blood test for hiv or aids.

Most clinics can do this for you, if you don't want to visit your family doctor.

  2. You need a blood test or oral swab to test specifically for HIV antibodies or for the virus itself.  No other routine testing includes HIV testing, as it requires written consent.

  3. Blood test. Pap test can find the earliest signs of cervical cancer - a common cancer in women. If caught early, the chance of curing cervical cancer is very high.

Pap tests also can find infections and abnormal cervical cells that can turn into cancer cells. Treatment can prevent most cases of cervical cancer from developing. However they can not detect HIV/AIDS. Hope this helps. Good Luck!!!!

  4. You need to get a blood test to test whether you are HIV+ or not.
