I know that a child who is older than 18 can be on their parents insurance as long as they're a student. Is this still the case if the said person is married?

Is it the same for both health and auto insurance?

  2. Health, no.  Auto, yes.

  3. Health insurance - no.  The daughter is married and needs to have her own insurance or be on her husband's.

    Auto - yes.

  4. why isn;t the married person on her husband's health insurance?

  5. Not with health insurance. Once a child is married they are considered a responsible adult and therefor must get on their own policy. With auto insurance if she is still in the household she can be on the policy with many companies but the husband also needs to be on the same policy. You'll need to ask your auto agent to be sure.
