The cage is big enough for both, but not sure if they should be in the same cage with the same food etc....

  1. No, don't do it.  They eat different foods.  Birds with curved beaks, such as parrotlets, called "hookbills" will mercilessly chase a bird with a pointed beak, called "softbills" and kill it if they can.  Even if they had the whole room to fly in, the hookbill would torment the softbill to death.

  2. No the parrotlet believe it or not belongs to the Amazon parrot family and have the aggression associated with amazons...you would be risking the death of the canary as they are most definitely compatible. Also you need to buy food that is labled for canary's where as your parrotlet shold be on a well formulated pellet diet along with some quality seed in controlled portions...millet is fine for both on a dailey basis.

  3. no. Cananries need more seed than parrotlets do since seeds are high in fat which they need if they are active. Parrotets do better on a diet of seeds, fruits, and veggies.

Also the parrotlet may attack the canary.
