Can a particular post that wasn't approve within a group be recalled or restored for approval?

In other words, if I as the group owner/moderator previously didn't approve a post but wanted to recall that same post and use it as a training tool, or discuss it with it's originator can it/how can it be restored? Thank you for you assistance.

if it was deleted, it cant be restored.
