as opposed to the pc speakers?

what do you need to do for this? connections/hardware?

my cd deck is broken so i figured i'd try playing my music through my computer but wanted the stereo speakers for the output sound.

i have a packard bell pc and on the power units rear there is an orange and blue coloured circular socket. Would they be anything?

please help if you can.

thankyou

  1. You can buy a cable that plugs into your sound card's output and ends in two RCA phono plugs (if that's what you use in the UK for audio connections; it's what we use in the US).

You will have to connect this cable into a stereo amplifier or receiver (to which your speakers will be connected).  There is not enough power in your soundcard output to directly power large speakers.

  2. i use a lead from the headphone socket to my stereo. simple.

  3.

3.5mm Stereo Mini Jack to Stereo RCA

           6.99 from Argos

  5. Mine is connected to my hi-fi all the time. Give me a shout if yoiu get stuck...
