Can a pc printer be plugged into a laptop?

I recently got a new printer, because my old one was no good, but the new one keeps printing the same, with lines in, and have tried loads of ink cartridges, but still has lines.

So i thought maybe something to do with the computer, it is quite old now. And wanted to try it on my laptop, but didn't know whether it can be connected to this or not?

Anyone know what i could do?

Thanks

  1. It should work on the laptop just make sure its compatible with the operating system. Since the other computer is old the os and the drivers of your new printer may not be compatible with each other thats whats causing it to malfunction.

  2. Sure... You just need to have the drivers installed on your laptop. You should have gotten a disk when you got the printer, just put it in the cd rom and install the drivers to the laptop.

If you can't find the disk, you can lookup the name and model number of the printer on the internet and download the drivers from there.

    Have fun!
