the heat isnt the real problem. its the lack of water. because there are penguins that live in warmer climates, like on the coasts of africa and south america

Penguins do live in the desert. a desert has nothing to do with temperature, but rainfall. Antarctica has very little rainfall, so it is considered a desert. And then Penguins live on South America and Africa as well, so temperature does not limit penguins to very cold areas. Plus at night most deserts become very cold as well. so to live there the penguins would still have to be able to survive in the cold.
