  1. Yes you can visit without a visa as long as your stay is no more 30 days. Just carry your green card and proof of a return back to the United States to be granted entry.

  2. Yes you can vacation there (I just got back!) but, you do need a passport. They won't let you travel there without it. The only requirements are the regular don't bring in fruits, etc.

  3. I am sure you can visit the Bahamas without a problem. However, if you're not a US citizen, then you'll need to take the passport of your country with you.

Check with the Bahamian embassy if you need a visa. You can also check this out online.

  4. yes with a us passport

  5. Permanent residents of the U.S. are responsible to keep a current passport from their HOME country at all times.  This is what you must use to travel internationally.  You cannot get a U.S. passport until you become a citizen.  To see if you need a visa to visit the Bahamas, you can use the website below,  Just enter your nationality, enter that you are an alien resident of the U.S., then enter your destination.  Then click for the info.   If you need to get a new passport from your home country, you can do that through the embassy of that country to the U.S.
