  1. No, beacuse the adult is intoxicated.......

  2. No it is supposed to be a responsible adult and if they are intoxicated they have impaired judgement and therefore are not considered responsible

  3. NO!

  4. To get them home safely yeah, but to be considered as the licensed driver just so they can drive around then the answer is no!

  5. no sorry its actualy just as bad as if yous are  both drunk.

iv been in the situation 2 times but i pretended like i did not know and wated to keep my mum safe and they let me off once

    merry xmas

  6. Interesting question. There is no indication in the driver's handbook that a licensed driver must be sober when the permit driver is behind the wheel. You might have a court ruling in your favor if you are ticketed.

  7. I imagine the drunken intoxicated licenced driver is technically in charge of the vehicle,so it would be illegal.

  8. PROBABLY NOT A GOOD IDEA.  MAYBE YOU SHOULD TRY TO FIND SOMEONE ELSE TO GO WITH YOU. ALSO IT IS ALWAYS BEST TO KNOW YOUR STATES LAWS ON DRIVING WITHIN THAT STATE.

  9. no if they intoxicated it is illegal

  10. In Texas it's legal according to DPS. Asleep also works.

Whether it's smart is a different matter... if you're good enough of a driver to not need a sober, awake person sitting next to you, just go get your license.

  11. NO WAY. YOU BOTH WILL GET A TICKET. AND IF YOU ARE JUVENILE THE OTHER PERSON WOULD GET IN MORE TROUBLE FOR THAT ISSUE ALSO FOR PUTTING A JUVENILE IN PLACE OF DANGER. THE LICENSE DRIVER THAT IS IN THE CAR W/YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR ACTIONS WHILE IN THE CAR TOGETHER. YOU CAN ALWAYS CALL THE HIGHWAY PATROL TO CHECK OUT THE LAWS IN YOUR AREA

  12. That's a good question. I would think the punishment would be far less severe than driving while intoxicated.

  13. personally if i were a police officer i would rather have you driving then the intoxicated person and would probably escort you home and let it go at that

  14. Depends who'se driving. As long as the person behind the wheel is not intoxicated (and is licensed) it's ok

  15. yes. even if a cop does stop the car, ask if he'd rather the drunk drive

  16. Legally:

NO!     A "Learners" permit is just that.   A legally licensed driver must be able to take over the controls at any time.    If an accident were to happen, a court of law would find your parents, or the owner of the car's insurance libel because of the inebriated driver "helping" you learn how to driver.

  17. man who ever gave this a star needs to be kicked in the ***.

this is common sense people. what is wrong with you people

  18. Hm...that's a good question. I don't know if it's legal, but I drive like that with my mom all the time, lol.

  19. Some states have a law that says if you are driving and the passenger is the owner---and they are drunk---YOU get a DUI also. Do you really want to risk getting your license?

Why did I get thumbs down for reporting the truth? JC will people on here ever grow up?

  20. no

  21. lets see here UMMMMMMMMMM................................ AAAAAAAA NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  22. You're kidding right?  Nobody in their right mind would even think an intoxicated ride-along could possible be teaching, mentoring or supervising a learning driver.  You would get a ticket for not having a qualified driver in the car, and the drunk could possibly get a ticket for being in control of a motor vehicle while intoxicated.
