  1. yes you can adopt if you are not wealthy. my husband and i have adopted a sibling group of 4 and we are not wealthy. also ask your adoption worker about adption assistance. most children qualify. of caourse from state to state it is different. we live in nc. adoption is open to most people and as long as it is not going to put you below poverty, go for it. but make sure you and your family can handle it. good luck and congratulations in advance.

  2. Absolutely.

My mother adopted my two sisters.

All she had to do is show she had a stable job, physcian for the children and herself, a family home enviroment, they checked her crimnal record, she had to have refrence letters too. Good Luck :]

  3. If you go through the state or local department of social services, you can get a perfectly healthy toddler. They even give you money and health insurance if necessary.  Money is not an issue. Having a nice and stable family is more important.

  4. you don't have to be rich just enough to have food and clothing. but yes i think you can.

  5. So long as adopting doesnt put you under the poverty level, or bring you to a place of needing welfare or government aid, anyone can adopt.

The federal, and local governments, and even certain employers will provide aid to help people adopt.

  6. Yes and there are many agencies willing to work with you. Many companies also give you leave time when you adopt. So go for it, children love people and money is secondary.

  7. yes

  8. Become a foster Parent!!!!! Contact your local DSS office and find out more about it. It's the best thing I ever did!!!

  9. yeah

  10. yes i wouldnt see why not.

  11. You must be able to prove capable of support!

A child costs about $100,000 to raise until high school graduation these days!

  12. In the U.S. adoption is not based on wealth. You have to be able to properly support and raise a child yes, but you do not have to be wealthy. I know many people who are just middle class working people who have adopted children.
