Can a person apply for disability when involved in a trial?

im out of money, lost my house, lost my insurance. can a person get disability and not mess up the personal injury case by doing so. ive been listed with a disability rating so it would be no problem getting it. just dont want to lose the money i could get for my pain.

  1. Sure you can apply!  Nothing stops you from applying!  If you don't qualify, the application will be denied.  It has nothing to do with your personal injury.  

    That disability rating, from workers comp or an injury, doesn't necessarily qualify you for disability coverage for your private policy.  You'll have to check with the policy terms.  And for social security disability, you have to be permanently, totally disabled, for two years, before coverage BEGINS.
