Can a person be a citizen of both America and England?

I am an American citizen and I am currently thinking of moving to England. Could I be a citizen of both countries and how would I go about doing it? Thanks.

  1. Yes. Both the US and the UK allow dual citizenship!

    If you immigrate to England and get British citizenship you have both!

    Great grandmother US and British citizenships

    Great grandfather US and British citizenships

    Grandmother US and British citizenships

    Father US and British citizenships

    Then we can go to the Irish side if you like!

    I don't know where these people get the Idea that the US doesn't allow dual citizenship!


  2. No it is not possible USA dosnt allow dual nationality , you can come here and stay here but can not work upto 3 months per visit .

    Also you will have to go through all the immigation rules as anyone else to get british nationality .

    You will be exempt for test in english if you use HSMP route.
