  1. NO. HUMAN   IS  NOT  DESIGNED  TO  TOLARATE  SUCH   LOW

  2. I believe it is possible, but they havn't found a safe method of thawing you out.

  3. You're right.  When the water in your body (both inside and outside of your cells) freezes, it expands and forms sharp crystals, which tear apart the cell membranes.

Some cryonics companies have developed special "antifreeze" solutions that they can perfuse into a body immediately after death.  These solutions completely replace the body's blood, and they're somewhat toxic, so obviously a living person wouldn't survive the process.  On top of that, the whole process takes a while, so by the time a body is completely frozen, they have been dead for a day or two.  The whole process is more like expensive, high-tech mummification.  It produces a well-preserved body, but we don't have anywhere near the level of technology to bring it back to life.  It may be possible someday, but for now, it's just science fiction.

  4. It is illegal to freeze someone when they are alive. It is called murder. That said, freezing the body causes the water in the cells to expand and hence they are damaged.

I believe these people who are now frozen, hoping to be awakend in the furture, have only fooled themselves into spending their kids inheritance.
