d.) the company they are trying to get unemployment wages from is out of business

  1. "d" would be the only case.

    Companies pay "Unemployment Insurance" to a carrier WHILE you work for them - as long as the carrier is in business, they would have to pay out . . .

  3. No, you have to be laid off or fired and not currently employed elsewhere.
