It says you cant, but I did. It also says you dont dream while intoxicated which is BS. It also says one doenst get "good" sleep without REM sleep. I had dreams, yet Im tired. I drank and had dreams, but I feel really fatigued. Was it REM sleep? Whats going on here?

  1. REM means "Rapid Eye Movement", and that is what happens when you start dreaming, during the time you're dreaming, your eyes move very quickly.   If you don't have REM sleep, then you don't have dreams, and if you don't have dreams, then you won't get a good night's sleep, dream deprivation causes serious problems.  If you are having dreams, then you are having REM sleep.  If you are waking up tired, there may be a cause for it, such as sleep apnea.  If you were drinking the night before, and woke up tired, it's probably because you were drinking, and maybe a bit hungover when you wake up, if you were drinking a lot the night before, it messes up your blood sugar, and taxes your liver and kidneys, among other things......

  2. You cant dream without REM sleep, and it is the deepest sleep and therefore you are the most rested with REM sleep. It is especially important for teenages since their brain is going through a growth spurt. REM means Rapid Eye Movement.
