Can a person in Australia go and study at a university in the USA?

My son is in high school and has expressed an interest in studying at a university overseas when he finishes high school. What are the final exms called in the USA, thr ones that are scored and you can go to uni and can you study for them overseas??

  2. Yes, you can study in the USA.  Universities in the USA require an ACT or SAT score.  I'm not sure if there is a college entrance exam in Australia and if there would be an equivalency for the USA.

    The tuition would be expensive since you haven't contributed to the tax base for a public school.  If your son plays soccer he probably plays at a higher lever than many americans and so would be able to get scholarship money to play somewhere.  He would also give them a student from a country that they may not have a student from which would increase their diversity.  

    I'm a student at www.belhaven.edu where I hear the soccer players get good scholarship money to play.  The staff is good but I wouldn't want my kid around the students but it gives you an idea to look into small private colleges where he may get a good deal.

  3. i think you're talking about a TOEFL (test of english as a foreign language). i'm sure that's just one of the many required tests. when my sister moved here from hong kong, she had to take that to get into a community college. hope this helps
