A friend of mine called me because I once lived in Pa ,about 20 years ago. He said he is going to Pa tomorrow to pick up a large sum of money and felt like he wanted to take his pistol. Can He take his NY permited pistol into PA and be okay with Pa law?

  1. No, PA does NOT have reciprocity with NY. Your friend could get a FL or PA non-resident permit and be able to carry.

  2. Only if Pa. has a reciprocal agreement with NY.  Many states do, however many do not. He had better check before he does it, because the price for carrying a weapon illegally can be severe.
