Can a person on an opt status marry a H1 B visa person?

I will be finishing my studies in May next year and plan to marry in August the same year. That means I would be on an opt when I marry him. My fiance is on a H1B status. Could you please tell me if this would be a problem?

No problem what so ever.  You would still probably have to leave the US at the end of your OPT unless you have a job and a work visa arranged.  You should talk to you fiance's immigration lawyer re whether you can change your visa status from inside the US or whether you have to leave the country.  Either way, you will probably not be able to work in the US.
