  1. most coaches from what i know... dont move people down like my coach. hes a Division 1 volleyball coach. but there are always exceptions..

  2. yep if a player start sucking it up they can do whatever they want

  3. I'm 14 years old, and going to be a soph.  I played varsity my freshman year, and 2 sophs that were on the team that year, got moved back down.  The coach may do whatever he feels is best for the team.  So the answer is yes.

  4. Well,

The head coach has the right to move you down as long as you are not a junior or senior. You have to play varsity if your over 10th grade. But, if you are not putting out what your coach wants then you may not make the team twice.

  5. sure.  Most teams have 10-12 players on varsity.  If someone from JV manages to move up, someone has to move down.  It's all about the "best" 10-12 players.  If someone from varsity is beaten out by someone from JV, sure, drop that person to JV.

Cut, sure, if they don't make it and gets beaten out by everyone else.

It's all team management and just because you make the varsity squad, doesn't mean you'll automatically stay there.  You have to continue to earn it.

  6. The only players that can not be moved down are the seniors.  Seniors can not play JV.  Any freshmen, sophomores, or juniors may be moved to the JV from the varsity and the freshmen can even be moved all the way back to the freshmen team.

  7. The coach can do what ever he/she feels is beast for the team. If that means moving someone down from varsity to JV or moving someone up from JV to varsity. And they can cut players but its not likely, if you already made the team. You just wont play that much.

  8. NO ONCE U MAKE VARSITY, YOU CANT MOVE DOWN!!!!

  9. Head coach has a right to do what he/she wants regarding playing time, practice, benching, and moving players down.

  10. i guess it depends on what division your in, but in my division, varisty players can on play two games on the JV level, and if you play more than that you can be 1. suspended, or 2. on jv for the rest of the season
