Can a person renew their driver's license in a different county than the one they live in?

  1. Yes.  Assuming you are talking about the United States, driver licenses are STATE issued.  You can go to any offices in your state, regardless of the county and renew your license.


  2. by law, you only have like five days to change the address on your license, it has to match your home address.   But I have see people do it over the internet

  3. I think in most states you can renew at any DMV office in the state.  

    There are a few states (Hawaii, for example) where the county issues the license rather than the state.  So I'm not sure what the rules are over there.

  4. No - but usually your host country/state will give you an extension if you are out of the country.

  5. You should be able to since the DMV wants your accurate address on the license.  This may require doing an address change before doing the renewal transaction, if the renewal transaction doesn't allow for address changes.
