Can a person under 18 years of age join a political party?

Like register (not as a voter) as a Republican or Democrat? If so, where?

  1. no its to soon, but 18 isn't far away....i think its great that u know which party u want.  i have gone from republican to demo crat after meeting Obama.

  3. There has been the Young Republicans and Democratic Organizations for years........but they don't vote until 18.

  4. In the UK, yes. I was a Liberal Democrat before I was 18.

I don't think so, but in some states for the primaries like Oregon for instance, 17 year olds can vote in the primaries if they are going to be 18, the legal voting age in the United States, I'm not sure if they just vote or enroll into a party i.e Republican Party, Democratic Party.  I just read though that in Maryland they do.

  6. You don't register as to what party you are, that's just your way of thinking, sorry you are what you are (meaning you can't join a political party)
