Okay my goal is to be an airline pilot, I am currently in flight school for my PPL. I got my first class medical about a year ago and i had 20/20. About 5 months ago I began to see far away words as being blurred, and I recently found out that I have minor astigmatism that prevents me from seeing clearly at far distances so I am told to be 20/30 now. If I get corrections like contacts or glasses should I still have a chance at becoming an airline pilot?

Bonus!: Why did I go from 20/20 to a 20/30 in less then a year?

  2. yeas, as long as u have some kind of aid to fix it to a 20/20, in the airforce, they let u slide to a 20/2100, thats it, i don't think they allow glasses, but laser is ok

  3. You'll be ok. Just make sure your glass are cool. Us pilots got an image to uphold.
