  1. So, you're an incredible kind of stupid.

  2. You can! But first you must ensure that the umbrella is really light too! Or you can try tying the umbrella to a dozen birds of at least pigeon size so that there's enough lift. Start in a high place with sufficient upward draft.

    Good luck!

  3. and golden hair and a magical cap with silver sun earrings to match. My answer is YES!!!

  4. NO, a person with an umbrella really can't fly no matter if they are a really light person or if the wind was really strong. There is no magical power that could help you fly.

  5. off the top of mt. everest, maybe. they gotta be able to climb it first tho

  6. in an airplane and not with the umbrella

  7. Hi,well I say no because the umbrella wasn't designed to uplift something in a continuous flight. But,they used to fly me on a huge sheet of cardboard! On windy days, my brothers and sisters would tie me to a piece of card board, when we where little(I was really tiny)and with a rope connected to it,would run down the street.I flew a couple of times, and always ended up with scraped legs, and elbows!Bye

  8. I cracked up laughing when I saw this question because I immediately thought of Mary Poppins... lol.

Anyway, a person with an umbrella CAN be swept up into the wind, or blown over (we have that issue here in Wellington, New Zealand when it IS windy... WITHOUT an umbrella). HOWEVER - being swept into the wind does not mean 'fly'. By a bystander it can be interpreted as "flying", although it's not... because its just aerodynamics gone wrong... (the open umbrella influenced by drag).

Actually, if you gave a kid an umbrella in strong wind - you'd probably get something that resembled 'flight' ... well, not a very successful flight, but more of a painful one...also, another factor is "Will the umbrella hold?". There's no point using an average umbrella that will break or turn inside-out. Though, a carefully crafted umbrella is like using a parachute now isn't it?

As for a magical power... well, Yes. Duh. Of course, in a fictional world - anyone can do anything. For example: Rogue, Phoenix, Gene Gray and Storm all had the ability of flight. Mary Poppins had the ability of flight... and let's not forget Sabrina the Teen-aged Witch who could use the broom...

  9. Only if your first name is Mary and your second name is Poppins.

  10. Only once, as thereafter he shall have his own wings -as an angel !

  11. If you were at the top of the atmosphere it would be called falling gracefully.[=

  12. and if the magical power was a flying one?

h**l yeah! but only if the wind was like really REALLY strong and they didn't have an umbrella that was bought in England and turns like inside out in a 3mph wind ;)

  13. yes; Delta or American Airlines permit the use of umbrellas aboard their flights.

However you may be subject to rigorous search by security if u profess magical powers

  14. Certainly, and they'll get through airport security faster than the rest of us if the "brolly" is their only luggage.

I always wanted to do that, but, when it happened, I was scared sh*tless!!!!

(it was kinda neat though  ;-) )
