Can a person with felonies on their background become a licensed Psychiatrist?

  1. Nope... have to pass a background check to get licensed to be a Psychiatrist in the US...

  3. It would depend on the nature of the felonies.  If they are drug related, you would not be able to be licensed as psychiatrists can prescribe drugs.  Further, you cannot get federal student loans/grants, with a drug felony.  Otherwise, should be able to.

  4. you'd have to check with the independent licensing board of each state. On the face of it, I am sure there are ways mitigating factors can be introduced, so I wouldn't rule it out wholesale.
