Can a person working as employee in company A be an employer somewhere else? The intrest of the company business is different from the intrest of the business where the person is an employer. Example. Person A working in Software MNC company ABC. Parallely is a partner for a garment shop and earns profit. Is it legal?

  1. It doesn't sound like you are violating a no-compete clause...so there shouldn't be a problem.  (retired IBM exec mgr)


  2. A program manager in my company is an owner of three cell phone retail stores. The company that I work for is not at all related to cell phone business. Its legal as long as you don't use one business's ideas / theories in another ;)
