  1. It doesn't have much of a chance, maybe it will last three days tops.

  2. Probably a day. Or two.

The mouse is domesticaed and its not used to the wild.

Maybe becuse its been in pet shops and cages all its life.

  3. Maybe a day or two at the most. Domestic mice don't have the instincts and experience to survive in the wild. It's a dangerous world out there for mice, even the wild ones. Majority of wild mice don't live longer than 6 or so months, long enough to breed a couple of times but yeah, they have lots of enemies. Don't take it to the RSPCA like a previous poster has said, it'd be a waste of time, mice don't live long anyway and it'd most likely get put down anyway. Just release it and maybe it'll make a life, if not then it'll help another animal survive.

  4. Take it to the local rspca..... please don't let it out into the wild. It doesn't have the natural instincts that a wild mouse would have and would be an easy lunch for predators.  Or ask a friend if they would like to have it - that way you could still visit your pet mouse.

Why would your dad do that???????

    :)

  5. 20 years ago my then boyfriend used to have (albino) rats. He decided to breed them and sell them to pet shops but it all got a bit out of hand and one time he ended up with 50 little ones. He gave loads away free to people and shops but was left with 26.

He took them to a local beauty spot (in big ice cream tubs so people would think he was picking berries) and released them behind a hedge.

There have been various sightings over the years and I saw a half albino rat just the other week so i reckon some of them were alive at least long enough to reproduce.

Good luck to your little mouse!

  6. if you cant keep it any more, then take it to a shelter that will find it a new home. it wont know how to survive in the wild, and a cat will kill it or a bird

  7. A day or two.

  8. Although mice may live up to two years in the lab, the average mouse in the wild lives only about 5 months, primarily due to heavy predation. Cats, wild dogs, foxes, birds of prey, snakes and even certain kinds of insects have been known to prey heavily upon mice. Nevertheless, due to its remarkable adaptability to almost any environment, and its ability to live commensally with humans, the mouse is regarded to be the third most successful mammalian genus living on Earth today, after humans and the rat.

  9. If the hawks are asleep maybe.

  10. Not long
