Question:

Can a petite woman be a successful model?

I have always been told that I should model. I am 5'2 about 125lbs. I was looking around on websites and saw that there was a lot of different modeling you can do. There's nude, there's glamour, print. I think runway is mainly limited to 5'9 or taller. Does anyone here have any knowledge or experience in this regard?

Thanks.

  1. Models don't really need to be that pretty, but that cant be ugly either. It's more of the body. You sound a little too heavy (well you're probably average, but models are sticks) and too short to be one, even if you don't do runway. Glamour pictures and all that usually have models with long limbs too! At least 5'6.  My cousins a model and is 5'10 and under 110! Maybe nude, since curvier is better

  2. You can model for a petite woman clothing store, like 5-7-9 or something, find one in your area.

  3. You mean a short women? 5'2 and 125 lbs isn't exactly what someone would call a model...
