  2. I would have to say no. They should actually cut that person a break for being late in the first place. That is bad customer service. Technically, how can they charge you a full day unless they were there on time? You should check to see if they have some policy that you may have unknowingly signed.

  3. Actually the other replies are too brief in assuming "no" is the answer. You should provide more information. On what basis do you say they shared a full day wage? If you were charged for the job being completed and you 'feel' it is equivalent to a full day wage, then they are right and you're not. If they actually gave you a receipt that charged (say) 8 hours when in fact they were there for 6, then you have an issue and should have taken it up with the person on the spot. Most service people have a knack for showing up "late" which is why they normally give you a range of time they will come out. I think the issue here is how they actually invoiced you, rather then what time they turned up.
