  1. In the SOP. You are not allowed to modify any police car.

  2. Our department has a drug-confiscation vehicle, now being used in our drug education program, that meets this description (2006 Cadillac Escalade with 26" rims, limo tint, lambo doors, huge audio system, etc).  The high school kids LOVE IT when we show up with this rolling display.

  3. Why would he want that and of course not not alowed because they are county or state vehicles.

The equipment that they have is certafied for what it is going to be doing. Fancy rims and hydraulics would be stupid because they would crack under such stress and hydraulics is just stupid

  4. Some of the DARE officers( Drug Abuse Education)  where I'm from have cool cars, they are pimped out so the highschoolers like them.

Most police cars have tinted windows so you can't see who's inside.

  5. That car you see down the street might well be an undercover car.  However, cops do not own the cars that they are assigned.  The department owns them.  So, if a cop spend money to fix up a car, it would be re-assigned to someone else.

  6. probably not unless the department he worked for had the car made that way he couldn't do it himself.

  7. the only time i can picture that is if the cop was undercover or plain cloths.
