  1. If they have reasonable cause -- like the aroma of pot drifting out of your open window, an outstanding warrant or just behaving strangely. Even if you don't meet these parameters the officer can have a warrant and the drug dog there within 20 minutes anyway so it's best to just let them go ahead and search.

  8. yes, if they have suspicion that youre carrying anything illegal. but it all depend on the law of country you are in. in some place they treat the car as the extension of your house, so they still need a warrant to search the car.
