  1. Kenneth H.  is right on target.

    You don't shoot critters that weigh 3 tons with an expanding bullet!  You need to use the toughest solid bullet you can find.  You will have to penetrate a couple of feet of heavy hide, bones and muscle to reach vital organs.  Expandable/Frangible bullets just don't cut it.

  3. Most polymer tips would reduce penetration of african rhinos, except one kind that is made by Winchester.

  4. You don't have to worry about polymer tips because suitable bullets for rhinos don't have any polymer tips. You don't use hollow point nor soft point bullets. You use solids or heavily constructed bullets capable of very deep penetration on them rhinos.

  5. The American soft nose and hollow point bullets are not used on the large African game- a study was done many years ago on this very subject- no hollow point or soft nose bullet performed satisfactorily on the larger African game- the solids beat them hands down-
